Take it just before going to bed
While apple cider vinegar is recommended before meals, it is not right before bed. “It is not advisable to take it immediately before going to bed because it can flow back into the esophagus,” warns Laura C. Stix, naturopath and clinical hypnotherapist. Even diluted, it can damage the esophagus while you are lying down.
“Regardless of the time of day, people should always be on their feet for 30 minutes after taking apple cider vinegar to prevent reflux and irritation of the esophagus.” She advises drinking it at least half an hour before going to bed.
