Despite all of its health benefits, apple cider vinegar drunk this way could do you more harm than good. “Due to its acidic nature, it can seriously irritate and damage your esophagus and stomach,” warns Matt Weik, owner kinesiologist of Weik Fitness, LLC. “Do yourself a great service by always diluting the apple cider vinegar with another liquid.” Water is probably the best for protecting your throat and stomach from this acidity, and it sweetens the taste of apple cider vinegar.
